This will be an opportunity to find out about the reality of the refugee and asylum experience. Guests will include Singer-songwriter Ramelle Kabasele, a refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo, now living in Leicester. Ramelle has worked on music with spoken word and hip hop artist Scroobius Pip and Parang Khezri, an award-winning film maker from Iran.

The event will be co-chaired by Joseph Thurgate - British Red Cross, Refugee Service and Nicola Middler - Executive Producer, Journeys Festival International.

A Refugee Week event linked to the Call Me By My Name exhibition on show in Lightbox at LCB Depot 19-23 June, presented in partnership with Artreach/Journeys Festival International
